Prayer

For a Christian, prayer is vital. We cannot know the Lord’s will for our lives unless we spend time with Him in prayer. We cannot walk in His Spirit and in His power unless we stay plugged into the power source. Jesus said in His Word, “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing,” John 15:5.

Prayer is not difficult or complicated. Very simply, it is just talking with God. It is the vehicle through which we grow our relationship with Him. We can talk with God conversationally, just like we would visit with a close friend. We do not have to clean ourselves up, get our act together, and use religious words for God to hear us.  God already knows what is going on our lives -- the good, the bad, and the ugly. How grateful we should all be that we can come to Him just as we are. He is waiting to talk with us and for us to invite Him to release His power and His direction into the circumstances of our lives. Explore the resources to the right. Among them, you will find a Prayer Guide I have written that covers the different types of prayer. I hope that it equips you and encourages you in your prayer life.

Our God is a God who hears and answers prayer. Our God is able to do immeasurably more than all we could ask or imagine. (Eph 3:20) There is no detail that is too insignificant for Him to bother with. There is no obstacle that is too large for Him to overcome. There is no sin so great that He can’t cover it with His blood. Our mighty God “stoops down to make us great.” (2 Sam 22:36) How beautiful is that! Our God is waiting for you to come before His throne of grace and bathe you in His love. Enjoy Him.
